Astro to strengthen position as the preferred entertainment destination

Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd aims to strengthen its position as the preferred Entertainment Destination for Malaysians by producing compelling contents and aggregate more streaming over-the-top (OTT) services.
Group chief executive officer Henry Tan said going forward, Astro focus is to produce more winning and compelling contents; and concurrently innovate and simplify its offerings and customer experience.
"We will aggregate more streaming OTT services to be the digital content provider of choice.
"We will continue to cost optimise, pursue active capital management and reprioritise capex to ensure financial headroom for a challenging year ahead," he said in a statement issued after the group annual general meeting here today.
Astro currently has three exclusive streaming services, namely Astro GO, HBO GO and iQIYI apps, and aims to introduce more streaming services soon.
