About Zoo Negara

Zoo Negara, or the National Zoo of Malaysia, is a sprawling 110-acre park located in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Home to over 5,000 animals from 476 species, Zoo Negara is dedicated to wildlife conservation, education, and recreation. It offers a fun and educational day out for families, nature lovers, and animal enthusiasts.

Animal Exhibits

Zoo Negara features a wide range of exhibits, including Mammal Kingdom, Reptile Park, Bird Aviary, and more. Each exhibit is designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals, providing them with a comfortable and stimulating environment.

Panda Conservation Center

One of the zoo’s highlights is the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, home to two giant pandas, Xing Xing and Liang Liang. The center provides an opportunity to learn about panda conservation efforts and observe these adorable creatures up close.

Plan Your Visit

Zoo Negara is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is located about 5 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur city center and is accessible by car or public transport. The nearest LRT station is Wangsa Maju, from where you can take a taxi to the zoo.
